For many years a war has raged among the werewolves and vampires. More recently though, 2 more factions joined the fight, the demons and the Spectres (psychics who have the ability to channel lost souls as well as having normal psychic powers). After several centuries, a shakey peace was reached, but now the demons seek to destroy that peace and throw the world into chaos...
A man in a clean brown suit lies prone on a rooftop looking through the scope of a rifle watching a group of werewolves below. Soon a large man with silver hair joins the group, obviously the leader. The man on the roof lines the crosshairs up with the head of silver hair. As he pulls the trigger a bird flys in front of him and he only succeeds in wounding the leader. The werewolves begin to run with amazing speed toward the man's position. "Damn it!" he curses as he runs to the back of the roof and dissapears in a flare of flames.
The man in the brown suit bursts into a dimly lit office where a tall man with jet black hair which matches his suit stands looking out the window behind the desk. "This failure is not acceptable Takus..." the man says in a smooth voice.
"I-I know sir, i promise i will not fail next time." Takus says nervously.
"I'm afraid there will not be a next time Takus..." the tall man says still looking out the window.
"W-what do you mean sir?"
"Come closer Takus..." Takus cautiosly obeys the command. The tall man turns instantly and thrusts his hand into the chest of Takus and wraps his fingers around his heart, lifting Takus above his head as his jet black hair falls across his face and his eyes begin to glow a burning red. Takus had a terrified look on his face as his breaths now came in shallow gasps.
"There will not be a next time because the punishment for failure is death!" the tall man said furiously as he crushed Takus's heart with one quick squeeze, sending blood pouring out of the gaping wound while Takus's eyes grew wide and his last gasp of breath turned into a sputtering of blood from his mouth. The tall man threw Takus off his hand while still clutching his heart, ripping it from Takus's chest and sending the last drops of blood spraying across the room before the heart turned to ash in the man's hand.
The tall man dropped the ashes to the floor, got out a handkerchief, and began to wipe the blood from his hands and sleeves as he surveyed the now twitching body of Takus.
"Sir, we have... what happened here..." another man in a grey suit came in, looking at the body of Takus on the floor covered in blood.
"He was... expendible. Let us hope that you do not meet the same fate." the tall man said smoothly again, "Now, clean this mess up. We have work to do." The tall man walked out of the room.
